General Information:
Well, the year is almost over and you have survived 2nd grade. Remember, even though school will be ending soon, your learning doesn't have to.
Over the summer, be sure to visit the public library so you can continue to work on reading. It is very important to keep reading so you will be ready for 3rd grade in the fall.
Also remember to review your papers that will be sent home. In 3rd grade you will take your first SOLs and the information you will be tested on will include everything you learned this year. So be sure to study so you won't forget it.
Math skills are very important. The skills you can work on the most are time and money! Practice every chance you get. Count the money in your piggy bank. Practice giving change. Use an analog clock at home to practice telling time. No digital clocks or watches please!
Most importantly, remember to have a FUN and SAFE summer!
